TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a fixed-term part-time Kaiwhakaako - Teaching Fellow in Health Promotion to join Te Puna Hauora - School of Health.
Key responsibilities:
- To coordinate and deliver courses:
- HLWB 306 Health Promotion Practice Trimester 1 2026.
- HLWB 525 Health Promotion Theory and Practice Trimester 1 2026.
- HLWB 206 Foundations of Health Promotion Trimester 2 2026.
- Attend course coordination meetings and other hui as required.
Ō pūmanawa - About you
You will be a motivated student-focused individual with experience in health promotion tertiary education.
Key requirements:
- A completed (or almost completed) PhD in a relevant field or other relevant qualifications commensurate with the role.
- Demonstrated experience and evidence of successful teaching in a relevant field at tertiary level.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and familiarity with innovation in learning and teaching practice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including a demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to work with others and to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Demonstrated ability or clear potential to build and maintain appropriate professional working relationships or networks of contact.
- Ability to coordinate and manage groups.
