Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Primary Mental Health Clinician to make a meaningful impact providing triage and therapy group services to individuals with mild to moderate mental health needs.
This is a part-time role working 20 hours per week split across office home and clinic locations with flexibility to work outside regular business hours and occasional travel within the Waikato region.
The aim of this role is to provide expert clinical skills support Pinnacle practices ensuring timely referral allocations and effective delivery of therapy groups. This position will report directly to the Primary Mental Health - Clinical Lead (Waikato) working collaboratively to provide outstanding whanau centred services. While experience in mental health is preferred we are open to supporting a new practicing clinician.
He kōrero mōu: About you
- Registered health professional with a current practising certificate.
- A post graduate qualification in mental health and addictions will be an advantage.
- While counselling qualifications are preferred candidates with equivalent experience and qualifications in mental health may also be considered.
- Proven clinical experience in mental health triage and group therapy delivery.
- Experienced in comprehensive data collection individual clinical assessments and formulation.
- Proficient in Office 365 suite (e.g. Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
- A commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and knowledge of Te Reo Māori and Tikanga.
- Current full drivers licence.
