The University of Tennessee Foundation Inc (UTFI) invites applications and nominations to fill the position of Associate Director of Web Strategy for the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Reporting to the Director of Digital Communications the Associate Director of Web Strategy is responsible for advancing the Division of Advancements web communications strategy with a primary focus on Advancement web platforms data analytics and performance optimization.
This role will provide strategic and technical leadership for Advancements web presence translating division priorities into effective data informed digital experiences that support fundraising alumni and donor engagement stewardship and reputation building.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Web Strategy Development and Oversight: Leads strategy architecture and execution for Advancement web platforms ensuring sites forms and digital initiatives align with division priorities user needs branding accessibility SEO and campus standards. Oversees complex web projects major platform changes and Formstack development while serving as the primary digital resource for Advancement partners across alumni giving and development functions. Represents Advancement in campus-wide web governance and collaborates with OCM and OIT to ensure consistency usability and compliance.
Data Analytics and Performance Optimization: Leads web performance analysis using Google Analytics Google Tag Manager and UTM tracking to measure traffic engagement conversions and campaign effectiveness. Develops dashboards reports and actionable insights for Advancement partners and leadership including SEO optimization and metrics for digital effectiveness and brand awareness. Serves as the teams accessibility expert monitoring digital channels for WCAG 2.0 compliance and advising on best practices to improve usability and outcomes.
Digital Coordination and Partnership: Collaborates with the Digital Strategy and Innovation team and campus partners to align web tools standards and technical solutions with foundation-wide best practices and Advancement goals. Coordinates web project timelines reviews and approvals while working closely with digital communications colleagues to ensure web strategy supports campaign priorities donor engagement event participation and stewardship outcomes.
Required Education and Experience
The candidate who fills the Associate Director of Web Strategy position is required to have:
A valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record is required due to travel responsibilities of the position. UTFI reserves the right to consider all appropriate general any significant driving offense less than 12 months old will eliminate the application from consideration for the position.
Note - Candidates holding a graduate degree must have at least 1 years of experience.
