Job Summary:
The Adolescent Safeguarding Social Worker will join Dudleys specialist Adolescent Safeguarding Service working with teenagers who face complex risks including exploitation trauma and disrupted relationships.
This locum role is ideal for experienced social workers with expertise in court work safeguarding and adolescent risk management.
The post involves working collaboratively within multi-agency teams to safeguard young people and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
Work with adolescents experiencing high-risk situations including exploitation and trauma.
Undertake assessments of young peoples needs and risks in accordance with statutory guidance.
Deliver court reports attend hearings and contribute to legal proceedings as required.
Develop implement and review risk management and safeguarding plans.
Work collaboratively within multi-agency teams to support young people and their families.
Maintain accurate case records documentation and data on social care systems.
Provide expert advice and guidance on safeguarding and adolescent risk management.
Participate in team meetings supervision and ongoing professional development.
Skills/Experience:
Significant experience in safeguarding adolescent risk management and court work.
Knowledge of statutory guidance child protection frameworks and adolescent development.
Experience working with multi-agency teams to deliver safeguarding interventions.
Strong assessment analytical and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and manage complex caseloads.
Effective communication and relationship-building skills with young people families and professionals.

Recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
Enhanced DBS clearance and eligibility to work in the UK.
Based in Dudley; travel may be required.
