Overview

Ensures the safety and technical readiness of freight and passenger wagons through inspections brake tests and documentation.

Key Duties

Inspect wagons for safety and technical issues
Perform brake tests
Document treatments and defects
Label damaged wagons & prepare reports
Handle coupling tasks and minor repairs
Operate preheating systems
Communicate with customers and report issues
Support junior staff when needed

Requirements

Completed technical apprenticeship
Technical school or vocational training preferred
Good physical and psychological fitness (EU standards)
Willingness for irregular shift work
Basic MS Office skills
Annual training & knowledge checks
Railway vehicle service examination
German proficiency: B1 level (certificate required)
