Overview
Ensures the safety and technical readiness of freight and passenger wagons through inspections brake tests and documentation.
Key Duties
- Inspect wagons for safety and technical issues
- Perform brake tests
- Document treatments and defects
- Label damaged wagons & prepare reports
- Handle coupling tasks and minor repairs
- Operate preheating systems
- Communicate with customers and report issues
- Support junior staff when needed
Requirements
- Completed technical apprenticeship
- Technical school or vocational training preferred
- Good physical and psychological fitness (EU standards)
- Willingness for irregular shift work
- Basic MS Office skills
- Annual training & knowledge checks
- Railway vehicle service examination
- German proficiency: B1 level (certificate required)
