Responsible for the preparation and/or operation of various components materials equipment machines including but not limited to any and/or all applicable components materials equipment machines in the assigned area(s).
Complete adherence to all plant safety and (current) Good Manufacturing Practices also cGMP regulations to the highest.
Assist with diagnosis and troubleshooting activities and execute in-process quality inspections.
Ensure adequate inventory of parts and materials prior to initiating a production run.
Identify and seek to implement process and safety improvement and perform all tasks in a safe manner.
Participate in shift meetings provide hand off information and communicate with other units and shifts.
This Sterile Inspection Line Coordinator position is responsible for operation and control of production lines in the Sterile Inspection area. The Line Coordinator will oversee both manual and automated Inspection lines.
The Line Coordinator monitors inspection output performs trouble shooting checks product quality and documents production data in batch record. The Line Coordinator may oversee up to 12 operators on a production line. The Line Coordinator will be responsible for confirming line settings changeovers exchange of information between shifts timely start and stop times for the lines assigning operator duties at the end of orders and assigning operators for cleaning and clearances. Weekend and overtime work will be required. The Line Coordinator may be working without direct supervision on weekends. Considerable standing and some lifting is required in the Line Coordinator position. Work is performed in strict compliance with manufacturing standards and all regulatory requirements. The line coordinator will be trained in use of the SAP computer inventory system and will need to be PIV certified to help cover Material Handler duties. The Line Coordinator will also be trained in the use of WPM Labor Reporting System. The Line Coordinator will be expected to know the inspection process and at times inspect on lines. Work on special projects and work teams may also be required. The Line Coordinator will also be expected to participate in the training and recertification of new colleagues. When performing inspection functions the Line Coordinator will be audited for both Inspection technique and tray defects. The Line Coordinator will be expected to follow Pfizer leader behaviors and demonstrate Pfizer values. The Line Coordinator will also be trained in all Material Handler functions.
(Minimum Requirements)
Education: High school diploma / general education degree (GED) 2 years of experience
Experience: Previous experience in Sterile Inspection highly desired but not required. Previous computer skill is desired.
Mathematical Skill: Applicant will possess basic mathematical skills in order to perform calculations in batch records.
Demonstrates ability to properly problem solve work-related issues exercise good judgment/decision making and effectively work with team members.
Physical Demands: Considerable standing and lifting up to 20 pounds is required.
Reasoning Ability: Applicant should possess basic reasoning ability.
Weekend overtime will be required.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent bending lifting and twisting. Additional physical demands may vary based on product and line.
Participation in the Ergonomic Stretching Program is required.
PPE such as eye protection and gloves is required depending on product needs.
Annual vision testing (acuity and color blindness) is required.
Must be able to work in low-light and/or confined-space environments and gown for clean-room conditions.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Weekend and holiday overtime will be required as business needs dictate.
