Compensation: $90000-$95000 plus yearly 6% discretionary bonus

Reports To: Director of Operations

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday

Job Purpose:

The IRA Administrator is responsible for the accurate administration reporting and compliance of Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). This role requires hands-on experience with IRS reporting forms deep knowledge of IRA regulations and the ability to stay current with ongoing regulatory and contribution limit changes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented compliance-focused and comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a regulated financial environment.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Administer Traditional Roth SEP and SIMPLE IRA accounts in accordance with IRS and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare review and file IRS Forms 5498 and 1099-R accurately and on time
  • Monitor and implement regulatory updates including annual contribution limit increases and distribution rule changes
  • Ensure compliance with IRS DOL and applicable state regulations
  • Resolve account discrepancies and respond to internal and external inquiries
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews
  • Coordinate with custodians advisors and internal teams to ensure smooth account operations
  • Assist with regulatory examinations and internal audits as needed
  • Contribute to process improvements and compliance controls

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience administering IRAs
  • Direct experience preparing and filing Forms 5498 and 1099-R
  • Strong working knowledge of IRA rules tax reporting and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with regulatory changes including contribution limits and IRS guidance
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with retirement account systems and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of IRA or retirement plan administration experience
  • Experience working with custodians trust companies or financial services firms
  • Familiarity with ERISA and DOL guidelines
