Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides strategic leadership for a portfolio of projects ensuring alignment of organizational goals financial and operational success. They oversee project management teams establish best practices and policies and manage high-level stakeholder communication.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develops implements and standardizes project management methodologies tools and best practices across the portfolio to improve execution.
  2. Portfolio Oversight & Governance: Oversees all active projects to ensure they are on schedule and within budget managing project dependencies and risks.
  3. Financial & Resource Management: Manages budgets resource allocation and ensuring optimal use of company resources.
  4. Stakeholder Communication: Acts as the key liaison between project teams and senior leadership/sponsors providing updates on progress issues and strategic impacts.
  5. Process Improvement: Evaluates identifies and implements improvements for project processes including rescuing re-scoping or canceling at-risk projects.



EXPERIENCE:

  1. Generally 10 years of project management experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management capacity. In addition to responsibilities of producing purchasing inventory control production control and engineering as well as shipping receiving and warehousing.
  2. Sound administrative skills well developed management skills-principles and people.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  1. Strong strategic thinking excellent communication negotiation conflict resolution and leadership capabilities.
  2. Participative management type-advocates team concept.
  3. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities. Tactful mature.
  4. Ability to establish creditability and be decisive-but able to recognize and support the organizations preferences and priorities.
  5. Satisfactory communication skills written and verbal.
