Job title: Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: New Lisbon Family Medical Center - New Lisbon WI
Schedule: Full-time 80 hours per week; Monday-Friday scheduled between 7:00am and 4:30pm.
Weekend rotation: No weekends
Holiday rotation: No holidays
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy attention to detail and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with patient-related needs before during and after care; make sure their needs have been met in a timely efficient and caring manor.
- Room patients for their appointments.
- Assist with procedures dressing changes DME supplies etc.
- Clean and stock rooms.
- Chart prep and paperwork including prior authorizations FMLA CMN forms etc.
- Triage and set up extra care at other facilities for the patients.
- Obtain lab specimens perform lab competencies and quality controls on a regular basis; perform lab tests run at the clinic.
- Start IVs change catheters perform wound care etc.
- Perform Welcome to Medicare and Medicare Annual Wellness visits in conjunction with the providers.
- Coordinate care for chronic patients and monitoring anticoagulation.
- Travel to other MBMC clinics and Pods to cover as needed.
- Assist with patient education upon provider request.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree preferred.
- Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
- Current BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months.
- 1 years of related work experience required.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
- Comprehensive nursing skills and knowledge of equipment such as retinal scanners EKG etc.
- Thorough understanding of triage.
- Understanding of lab procedures and equipment.
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
