As a Long-Term Substitute Behavior Coach at River Rock Academy youll provide critical support to students by modeling positive behaviors fostering a consistent and structured environment and encouraging the development of decision-making and self-regulation this role you will help ensure continuity and stability for students during periods of staff transition playing an essential part in their academic and personal growth.
What Youll Need
High school diploma or equivalent
Genuine passion for helping children and adolescents with behavioral or learning needs
Calm caring and patient approach with a strong sense of professionalism
Excellent communication teamwork and relationship-building skills
Basic computer proficiency for documentation and progress tracking
What Youll Do
Provide direct mentorship and consistent guidance to students to promote positive behavior and decision-making
Maintain accountability and close supervision of students throughout the school day
Support classroom management assist teachers and help create a structured safe learning environment
Monitor document and report student behavior and interventions using school-approved systems
Respond to behavioral or crisis situations using Safe Crisis Management practices
