Essential Role Requirements:
- Safe keeping and inventory of materials tools and equipment
- Monitoring stock levels
- Ensuring equipment is stored safely and securely to prevent damage or loss
- Issuing tools and equipment to construction crews or subcontractors as requested following established procedures and documentation requirements. This may involve preparing material requisition forms tracking issued items and maintaining accurate records of distributions
- Inspecting incoming equipment for quality damage or defects before accepting them into inventory
- Rejecting or returning items that do not meet quality standards and documenting any discrepancies or issues (deliveries from yard and returns on site)
- Coordinating the maintenance repair and servicing of tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good and safe working condition
- Ensuring the store is always secure
- Able to communicate effectively with site management team
Desirable:
- Gateman experience
General Expectations:
- Reliable & punctual
- Able to work well with other trades and operatives on site and support the programme delivery on time
- Right to work in the UK
Cards & Qualifications Required:
- CSCS/GQA/NPORS* Card with relevant experience
Additional/Desirable Cards & Qualifications:
- First Aid at Work
- Traffic Marshall Certification
