Senior Executive Assistant Research Communications and Support (at the rank of Clerk I) in the HKU Jockey Club Enterprise Sustainability Global Research Institute Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.:534196) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totaling up to 10% of basic salary with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
The HKU Jockey Club Enterprise Sustainability Global Research Institute is a strategic collaboration between The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC). Its goal is to create a world-class hub and network of distinguished scholars in Governance and Sustainability worldwide. To achieve this the Institute offers various forms of support including grants and publicity to its affiliated scholars.
Applicants should possess a bachelors degree or above in business administration or a related field with at least 2 years of full-time working experience preferably in events management communications marketing or a related field. Experience working in large corporates/public organizations and/or interacting with academic researchers are highly advantageous. Applicants should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese (Cantonese) and English.
The appointee will have the primary job responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Support in planning organizing and executing events and activities for the research community including conferences and seminars;
Provide administrative and logistical support for initiatives led by the Institute including scheduling documentation venue arrangements participant coordination project tracking and post event follow up;
Assist in implementing communications and publicity initiatives including preparing content coordinating updates across digital channels and supporting research and event promotion;
Coordinate with faculty staff and external partners (university corporate public sector) to ensure the smooth execution of the above initiatives;
Provide support for research activities when required; basic programming knowledge is considered an advantage;
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors; and
Work outside normal office hours may be required.
