Job Summary:

TeledyneRaymarine(part of Teledyne FLIR) is a leader in the Marine Electronics industry we design and manufacturecutting edgeproducts covering a wide range oftechnologiesincluding Radar Sonar Cameras ChartPlottersand Instruments destined for an array of markets including leisure first responders and commercial.

We areseekingan experiencedhands-onIT Manager to join our IT team working from ouroffice in Fareham Hampshire.

Our ideal candidate would bean enthusiasticgo-getterwho has a passion for continual improvement and could aid us to take our IT department to the next well as being a hands-onsupport resource therole would includesome light managerial tasks.

The rolewould bevaried andsuitsomebody who has come through their IT support careerfrom the ground up and enjoys the concept of alittle bit of Support roles areoftendefined on a 1st 2nd 3rdline tiering system; this role requires somebody who canwork a little atall theselevelsas well aspossessinggoodmanagerial/ team leadershipskills.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a team of 4 IT Staff members.
  • Day to day management ofIToperation(s).
  • Monitoring of KPIs
  • Monitoring of tickets including escalating whererequired
  • Liaisingbetween the local site and Enterprise IT teams (Infrastructure Apps etc)
  • Supporting the wider enterprise IT managementteam to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and corporate governance.
  • Liaisingwith Teledyne business stakeholder to ensureIT are meeting the needs of the local business.
  • OnsiteITSupport forRaymarine;working as part of a virtualITteam to provide customer support troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and requests (tickets). Where a resolution cannot be found then you would be expected toescalateaccordingly.
  • By IT support we refer tomultipleproficiencies such as but not limited to:
  • End users and their equipment. For example PCs and Laptops running a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Printer installation networkingconfigurationand troubleshooting
  • An array of Microsoft applications such as Office Visio Project etc.
  • Ensure compliance of andreact to information from Enterprise Anti-Virus and other security tools.
  • Mobiles phones (iPhone & Android)
  • Servers switches and wireless access points in conjunction with a remote Infrastructure team.
  • New user configuration and setup via Active Directory
  • Troubleshooting issues that the IT Service Desk have not been able to resolve remotely.
  • Liaising with hardware and software vendors to resolve and related issues.
  • Support and maintenance of conference room equipment such as video conferencing systems conference phonesetc.
  • Acting as a point of contact for day-to-day IT support. Not all incidents will arrive with you via a ticketing platform. The role requires somebody dynamic who can work effectively on the fly responding to requests from multiple angles andsubsequentlyprioritizing workload to achievethe required outcome.
  • Remote IT support for travelling users; usually delivered using remote tools s
  • Maintain the onsite server room in line with enterprise standards.
  • Maintain the outlying comms racks throughout the facility.
  • Manage and maintainOUswithin Active Directory including usersgroupsand objects.

Desirable Attributes

  • At least 5 years ITsupportexperience
  • Experience using an incident management system such asServiceNOW.
  • Experience in a Team Leader or Manager role.
  • Somebody who can think for themselves and work to ambiguous frameworks. Not everything within this support role will come with an instruction manual our ideal person is somebody who can think outside of the box and progress situationson their own merit.
  • A solid and robust understanding of the Microsoft Windows operating system. Including how to manage andmaintaincomputers attached to an Enterprise domain.
  • Understanding of audit processes and requirements conducting business in line with specific frameworks and processes.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and support unfamiliar systems and applications using existing knowledge or the ability to seek out necessary resources
  • Experience of supporting a manufacturing businessand the concepts associated with that; ITIL ERP / MRP CAD etc.
  • Desirable any experience onusing any CADapplicationsor Engineeringapplications
