- We are looking for a Class 1 P&D Light Rover to cover various terminals in Northern Saskatchewan and throughout our network.
- You will be responsible for performing pick-ups and deliveries in various towns as required ensuring timely and accurate service.
- You will use an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) to track your on-duty and drive time maintaining compliance with hours of service regulations.
- You will be based in Saskatoon SK but may be required to travel to other locations for extended periods (1-3 weeks). During these floating assignments the company will cover hotel costs and travel expenses if using your personal vehicle.
- You will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining a commercial vehicle adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- You will need to efficiently plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- You will be required to load and unload freight which may involve the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts.
- You will be responsible for accurately completing and submitting all required paperwork including delivery receipts bills of lading and incident reports.
- You will need to maintain regular communication with dispatch and customers providing updates on delivery status and any potential delays.
- You will be expected to conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
- You will be responsible for securing and properly handling all types of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- You may be required to assist in training new drivers or act as a mentor for less experienced team members.
- You will need to adapt to changing weather conditions and adjust your driving accordingly to ensure safe operations.
- You will be expected to represent the company professionally at all times maintaining positive relationships with customers and the public.
- You may be required to participate in ongoing safety training and professional development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in the transportation industry.
Qualifications :
- Valid Class 1 drivers License
- 1 Year of Local Pickup & Delivery experience
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Criminal Record Check
