We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class 1 Driver to join our Dartmouth NS operations. This is a full-time delivery position with drivers home daily delivering building materials throughout Nova Scotia Monday-Friday. Typical shifts are 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM depending on delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities & Priorities:
Load unload and transport brick concrete and other palletized products to residential and construction sites ensuring accuracy and safety.
Safely operate a forklift (on-the-job training provided).
Perform pre-trip en-route and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
Provide professional friendly and efficient service to customers on job sites.
Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with all applicable provincial and federal transportation regulations including Hours of Service cargo securement and Occupational Health and Safety standards.
Maintain required documentation including driver logbooks and proof of delivery.
Communicate and work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
Valid Class 1 Drivers Licence with a clean driver abstract.
Minimum two (2) years of commercial driving experience.
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Safety-focused with a reliable and positive team attitude.
Ability to work independently while providing excellent customer service.
Willingness to participate in our Drug & Alcohol Testing Program.
Boom certification and/or experience operating a hitchhiker forklift is considered an asset.
Experience delivering building materials to residential and/or construction sites an asset.
