Job Summary
We are looking for a versatile qualified and professional Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team at our Lévis Québec site from Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of metal materials to and from client sites and other AIM facilities.
What You Are Responsible For
Driving & Operating Heavy Vehicles
Drive and maneuver several types of heavy vehicles including:
- 4axle Rolloff trucks
- 12wheel Rolloff
- 12wheel Lugger
- 4axle carcass trucks
- Carcass bitrain
- 4axle dump trucks
- 4axle flatbeds
- 4axle walkingfloors
- 4axle livebottoms (beltfloor trailers)
- Operating a variety of Class 1 utility vehicles to transport metal materials while ensuring compliance with road regulations and company policies
- Performing routine pretrip and posttrip inspections of the truck ensuring it is in proper working condition
- Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck when required using appropriate equipment and secure loads to prevent shifting or damage during transport
- Completing accurate and thorough logs of deliveries and any other required documentation
- Providing highquality customer service
Qualifications :
To Join Our Team:
- You have a valid Class 1 FM drivers license and a good Driving Record
- You have experience driving manual transmission
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class 1 driver
- You are customerservice oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- You have good physical endurance and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities when needed
- You have knowledge of metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
- You have experience with dump trucks / Rolloffs (an asset)
- You are in good physical condition and have strong safety awareness
- You have good customer service skills
- You are punctual reliable and respectful of equipment
