Job Summary

Customer Management Project Manager / Chief of Staff (Remote Eligible)

The Project Manager / Chief of Staff (CoS) will assist in managing strategic priorities and lead operational/management systems for the Leadership Team (LT). This associate will support the Head of Customer Management and extended leadership team as we execute priorities. This critical position will serve to enable leaders to execute strategic priorities while ensuring operational rigor. They will be responsible for developing implementing and sustaining strategic areas including 1) Strategy 2) Executive Support and Team Culture and 3) Operational Excellence. This associate will report into the Field Chief of Staff Office and collaborate with the team to provide best-in-class support to the Field leadership team.

Highly collaborative; has excellent communication skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders to manage inform and influence outcomes The stakeholder ecosystem is broad and includes Finance Human Resources Product Risk Communications Operations and Marketing
Strong project management and organizational skills with an understanding of and appreciation for how the sales and client management field operates
Highly-motivated self-starter who can work autonomously and can independently take initiative
Proven ability to lead moderate sized cross functional teams to drive complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction
Proven experience in operating with discretion when handling highly sensitive issues
An energetic creative and fun-loving personality that fosters an environment built upon trust collaboration and belonging

What youll own:

Strategy support: Partner closely with the LT to drive the forward leaning direction for the team and create a cross functional view of the destination. Facilitate the creation of presentations that articulate the strategy to key internal and external stakeholders
Executive support and team culture: play an integral role in enhancing our intentional team-oriented organizational culture and facilitate a management system to ensure organizational effectiveness; Lead initiatives to address associate engagement strategies
Communications: Ensure alignment across the organization through strategically designed updates around strategy and progress often in partnership with the communications team and CoS office
Event Architect: Partner closely with field effectiveness colleagues to ensure streamlined orchestration of activities such as LT meetings Offsite planning All Hands Events and LT events
Operational Excellence: Support and in some cases lead moderate to large horizontal priorities and special projects across the team; Ensure the right metrics are in place to track and manage priorities outcomes risks budgets etc.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or military experience
At least 4 years of experience in Project Management or Process Management
At least 4 years of experience building and influencing strategy

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree
3 years experience in a sales or client management role
3 years of experience serving in a Chief of Staff or Project Management role in a large complex and matrixed organization

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Remote (Regardless of Location): $138100 - $157700 for Manager Project Management

McLean VA: $151900 - $173400 for Manager Project Management

Richmond VA: $138100 - $157700 for Manager Project Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
