Activities Director

Fellowship Square is seeking an Activities Director in Independent Living to bring energy creativity and compassion to our vibrant senior living community. About the Role:

This person must bring a special combination of energy enthusiasm positive motivation and self-direction to the job. He/she must have superior customer service orientation and be dedicated to seeing each residents needs are met.

• Responsible for the activity programs for Fellowship Square independent living including transportation for the independent and assisted living residents.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with the residents with advanced verbal writing and listening skills.
• Supervision of activities support staff drivers and volunteers.
• Ability to prepare monthly newsletters and calendar using the computer.
• Monitors common areas to insure proper utilization of time equipment and space.
• Schedules seminars and educational programs utilizing community resources.
• Schedules rooms for events and maintains a schedule to events and room usages.
• Provides information of events through posters newsletters and bulletin boards.
• Arranges transportation for IL and AL medical runs community events and trips.
• Maintains equipment and supplies for department use.
• Coordinates holiday celebrations and special events.
• Prepares resident activity assessment to determine resident interests.
• Reports unsafe/hazardous equipment and conditions immediately.
• Assures that safety regulations are observed at all times.
• Maintains records and reports as deemed necessary.
• May be asked to drive company vehicles for job related activities.
• Coordinates resident council meetings and writes minutes.
• Prepares annual budgets; purchase orders and monitors monthly expenditures.
• Presents Fellowship Square Surprise in a positive manner.
• Commit to ongoing training and educational opportunities to further education.

• Bachelors degree preferred (experience in senior care may substitute).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with senior activities.
• Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Compassionate energetic and self-directed.
• Tech-savvy and capable of using basic design or word processing software for newsletters/calendars.
• Must be able to read write and speak English fluently.
• A valid drivers license and willingness to drive company vehicles as needed.

Pay Rate: The starting pay rate for the positions is $XXXX per year with compensation varying based on experience and qualifications.
