Summary
The Seasons Dining Team is seeking a Manager Food Services III to provide proactive results-driven leadership that fosters a motivated cohesive and empowered team.
This role provides leadership and strategic direction across multiple university dining services and/or units. The Manager oversees daily operations including food production facilities and personnel management. Responsibilities include assigning and prioritizing work scheduling staff establishing and maintaining quality standards and ensuring operational excellence across all areas of service.
Example of Duties
Oversees and directs the day-to-day operations of multiple dining facilities.
Works with campus partners to improve the campus dining experience.
Manages service delivery training safety sanitation facilities maintenance marketing and cash handling in order to meet departmental goals.
Develops operational pricing and budgets while meeting sales budgetary and financial targets.
Manages and participates in food production including forecasting food ordering food preparation and food sanitation.
Develops fiscal and management controls which protects university assets and ensures compliance with internal and external stakeholders.
Authorizes purchases and monitors inventory control procedures.
Leads in the planning and execution of dining programs and participates in short and long-term strategic planning.
Establishes updates and reviews policies and procedures used by the department in order to assure compliance with university policies and State and Federal laws.
Serves as a resource person and/or recommends solutions to specific problems for students administrators and university offices or departments.
Markets the department and acts as the liaison for the department with various units committees or task forces.
Evaluates the effectiveness of specific functional operations recommends organizational changes and determines equipment needs in order to achieve departmental goals.
Researches facilitates and develops trainings and orientations for new staff.

Accountable for achievement of key annual objectives for a department
May provide input into institution policy within area of functional expertise
Responsible for functional output of a department or work team
Manages subordinate staff
Has full management responsibility for direct reports specifically the authority to hire fire and counsel
May provide input to the budgeting process
Requests approval for financial actions beyond a limited scope
May provide input into financial decisions that impact department or work area
Nights and weekends will be required based on operational needs.
