Job Summary

Column Technical Services is hiring a customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to provide exceptional service to retail contractor commercial and industrial customers. This role involves assisting customers in person and by phone offering product knowledge maintaining merchandise displays and ensuring smooth accurate sales transactions. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills a solid understanding of building materials and experience delivering excellent service are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service with a focus on supporting retail customers walkin contractors and commercial and industrial clients.
Respond to telephone inquiries courteously and in a timely manner.
Provide customers with information on complementary or related products to enhance their purchases.
Maintain current knowledge of all products including features applications pricing and newly introduced items.
Address minor customer concerns with the goal of resolving issues effectively.
Listen attentively to customer complaints to determine the best solution for customer satisfaction.
Follow all company procedures related to sales transactions documentation refunds credit memos and related processes.
Maintain assigned areas by ensuring proper stocking product displays and overall housekeeping.
Support supervisors and assist team members as needed.

Skills

Preferably 3 years of experience in retail or contractor building materials sales.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to perform basic math read orders follow instructions and complete required forms.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers coworkers and supervisors.
Knowledge of and ability to use proper lifting techniques safely.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Professional and courteous telephone etiquette.
