Job Summary
Job Title: Nurse Supervisor (Acute Care Nursing)

Schedule & Hours:
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: 5 days per week 8-hour shifts
Pay Package:
Traveler Rate: $4125 per week
Local Rate: $3562 per week
Position Summary:The Nurse Supervisor provides leadership and clinical oversight to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal staff performance within an acute care nursing environment. This role is responsible for developing and implementing programs to enhance patient outcomes monitoring clinical and employee performance and collaborating with nursing leadership to maintain efficient unit operations and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan develop and implement programs to improve patient care quality and staff performance
Monitor patient care outcomes and evaluate employee performance
Collaborate with nurse managers to assess unit operations and workflow efficiency
Communicate and support corrective actions when performance or quality issues arise
Develop maintain and monitor record-keeping systems related to medication errors incident tracking and employee counseling
Ensure compliance with clinical standards policies and regulatory requirements
Provide leadership support and guidance to nursing staff as needed
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum seven (7) years of nursing experience
At least five (5) years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
Education:
Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
Preferred: Masters Degree in Nursing
Certifications & Licensure:
Active and unrestricted New York State RN license
Primary Source Verification through the NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
BLS certification required
