Job Title: Residential Care Worker
Location: Bedfordshire / North Hertfordshire
Salary: per annum 60 per sleep-in
Working Hours: Full Time 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 2 days on / 4 days off
Number of Sleeps Required: As per rota
Pay Per Sleep: 60 per night
Service: Childrens Home EBD Residential Home
Service Users: YPs aged 1117 EBD
Qualifications Required: NVQ Level 4 (or willingness to work towards within 6 months)
Experience in Years Required: Minimum 1 year residential experience preferred

Ratio of staff to children: High staff focus small teams for personalised care

Support children with daily living tasks educational goals and emotional needs
Demonstrate professional calm and nurturing behaviour
Engage with children listen to them and record significant behavioural features
Knowledge & Skills Required:
Understanding of attachment theory child development and trauma impact
Knowledge of psychological theories basic human needs (e.g. Maslow)
Understanding safeguarding in a residential setting including CSE sexual abuse and exploitation
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to be a positive role model and maintain professional boundaries
