Are you a skilled and dedicated healthcare professional looking for a rewarding opportunity Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of something special shaping the future in our community.
As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Each day you will perform a variety of imaging examinations including X-rays ultrasound diagnostic fluoroscopy CT/CAT scans and MRIs while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To excel you must deeply understand diagnostic imagings critical importance encompassing expertise in workflow patient positioning and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
- Prepares/operates radiology equipment for the correct size depth and detail of a requested exposure area based on physicians orders and in adherence to department protocols.
- Explains procedures to patients and responds to questions.
- Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques/procedures to comfort and protect the patient self and others from unnecessary radiation.
- Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques/procedures to ensure that results are consistent.
- Cleans equipment after each use.
- Delivers patient care for all age groups while performing radiological exams/procedures and/or special procedures.
Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and one year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities required.
- Current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required.
- Current Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
Preferred
- Work experience involving the current technical aspects of patient care in a radiology department
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
