Marketing & Communications Intern

Kairos Power is a new nuclear energy technology and engineering company whose mission is to enable the worlds transition to clean energy with the ultimate goal to dramatically improve peoples quality of life while protecting the environment. Job Summary

As aMarketing andCommunications Intern you will work on the Marketing Communications team to help tell stories that connect stakeholders with Kairos Powers mission. We are looking for a creativeproactiveand enthusiastic intern with a solution-oriented mindsetandthe ability to change course quickly in a high-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a savvy undergraduate or graduate student with a passion forstrategiccommunications content creationand multimedia storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Research writeeditand design communications materials for internal and external audiences including social media posts digital graphics presentations and company-wide emails.
• Document company events milestonesand achievements through stories and interviews to be shared both internally and externally.
• Conduct and recordinterviews with Kairos Power leaders and key contributorsto support storytelling initiatives.
• Capture photos and videocontentwithin Kairos Power facilities and at external events.
• Edit short-formvideocontentfor social media and otherdigital platformsusing original and archivalfootage.
• Conduct and compile new research to support media engagement marketing and public outreachefforts.
• Assistwithmaintainingand organizing digital asset libraries including photos videos and brand materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuingan undergraduate or graduate degree with at least 3 years of completed courseworkin Communications Science Communication Journalism English or related field of study
• Proficiencyin Adobe Creative Suite and/orWebflowishighly desirable

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Good storyteller both written and visual
• Understanding of scientific communication
• Basic understanding of branding marketing principles or public relations practices
• Basic understanding of graphic design photography and videography
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to change whilemaintaininga positive attitude
• Works well with others with the ability to build trust within the team and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment

• Moving self indifferent positionstoaccomplishtasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
• Remainingin a stationary position oftenstandingor sittingfor prolonged periods

Safety and PPE

• Wearing proper PPE to include face mask face shields gloves safety shoes etc.
