Role Purpose
We are looking for a Product Governance Administrator to join our Product Governance and Controls team. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist with the delivery of Group Protection Scheme reviews renewals and acquisitions.
The role holder will be a detail orientated analytical individual that will complete data analysis to support our scheme reviews whilst engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth updates of existing Group Protection addition the role holder will assist in the completion of quality checks and audits across the different Sales and Servicing functions within the Life Department ensuring compliance with company policies.
Accountabilities of the Role
In respect of Group Protection scheme reviews:
Review relevant information data for both internal and external stakeholders.
Compile and circulate quotation requests and compare and consider the quotes received.
Assist with planning each Group Protection review renewal acquisition and closure.
In respect of Customer Documentation:
Ensure that documents are compliant with relevant procedures and legislation.
Provide relevant product information and guidance to the Life Department on Group Protection schemes.
In respect of Quality Checking:
Perform Life Sales and business processing audits and transactional spot-checking of business processed by Cornmarket employees.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding the status of:
Reviews renewals and acquisitions
Customer documentation updates
Quality checking activities
Respond to group protection technical queries within service level agreements.
Engage within the team to ensure smooth updates of existing Group Protection schemes.
Engage with stakeholders to ensure point of sale documents are up to date.
Assist with identifying and implement efficiencies.
Work closely with the Head of Training and Product Governance and the Product Governance and Controls Manager to carry out any other tasks or projects as required.
Comply with risk control and regulatory requirements relevant to this role.
Maintain commercial awareness relevant to this role.
Skills Experience and Behavioural Competencies Required
Strong data analysis background or qualification desirable.
APA in Life Assurance & APA in Pensions upon commencement in the role is desirable or the role holder must be willing to work towards it in the role.
Knowledge of risk control & regulatory environment including CPC CICA and GDPR.
Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines in a very busy environment.
Confident and capable with full Microsoft suite of applications particularly excel.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to financial products.
Exceptional attention-to-detail and a focus on quality output.

Controlled Function
This role is a controlled function as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity standards issued by the Central Bank. This requires the company to complete prescribed due diligence to assess the appointees fitness and probity.
