About the Role

Platform Science is seeking a strategic People Business Partner to join our growing team in Chennai. Reporting to the Director of People Experience (Europe & India) you will be the on-the-ground strategic lead responsible for the HR function and supporting people managers across India. This is a crucial role for ensuring smooth operational HR processes driving high-impact employee engagement and scaling our performance management initiatives within a dynamic international environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Strategic Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor and coach to people managers on performance management conflict resolution career development and complex employee relations issues.

• Employee Engagement: Design and implement engagement surveys recognition programs and communication initiatives to champion company values and foster an inclusive work culture.

• Operational Oversight: Manage the HR Generalist to ensure seamless payroll administration statutory compliance (PF ESI Gratuity) and maintenance of data integrity within our HRIS systems (ADP AllSec Deel).

• Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding and induction to offboarding while maintaining audit readiness for internal and external compliance reviews.

• Local Compliance: Develop and implement local HR policies that ensure strict adherence to Indian labor laws including the Minimum Wages Act and POSH Act.

Experience

Required Experience

• 10 to 12 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 to 5 years specifically in an HR Business Partner capacity.

• Deep expertise in the Indian labor law framework and statutory compliance management.

• Direct hands-on experience driving employee engagement for a workforce of 100 employees.

• Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.

• Technical Skills: High level of proficiency with HRIS systems Google Workspace and MS Office.

Nice to Have

• An MBA or Masters degree in a related field.

• Direct exposure to or experience with payroll processing.

• Experience working within an international or global matrix organization.

• Autonomous & Proactive: A self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and work independently to take ownership of PX activities in India.

• Hybrid Commitment: Willingness to be in-office at our Chennai location at least three days per week.
