Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be a results-driven technical leader with senior experience in a commercial vehicle OEM or large-scale logistics environment the ideal candidate has a strong track record in managing fleet workshop and preventative maintenance operations. They bring proven capability in leading and developing technical teams managing staffing requirements and controlling technical budgets and running costs. With a solid understanding of labour legislation HR practices and OHS compliance they are systems-savvy operationally strong and able to implement technical strategies that align with national objectives while delivering consistent performance across the region.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop workshop and technical teams
- Manage fleet maintenance facilities tools and equipment
- Drive preventative and corrective maintenance programmes
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation HR policies and OHS standards
- Control technical budgets running costs and monthly reporting
- Implement technical policies procedures and audits
- Identify training needs and support skills development
- Oversee equipment replacement warranties and breakdown reduction
- Align staffing levels productivity and overtime with depot workload
- Develop and execute the Technical Department strategy in line with national objectives
- Ensure procurement complies with OEM and company standards
Key Requirements:- Matric plus relevant Degree
- Senior technical management experience in commercial vehicles or logistics
- Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance workshops and cost control
- Proven people management and labour relations experience
- Systems-savvy with strong leadership and communication skills
