Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support across all Servest sites acting as an escalation point for Helpdesk and Tier 1 Technicians.

Deliver stable secure and agile IT infrastructure services including:

  • Windows OS
  • Network and VPN services
  • Storage and backup
  • Information security and monitoring
  • Telephony & conferencing technolog

Manage and maintain:

  • On-premise and cloud-based infrastructure
  • End-user devices (PCs laptops tablets phones printers)

Proactively detect troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents in line with incident management processes.

Perform software upgrades patches and regular maintenance.

Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) including testing and documentation.

Manage and administer local applications licences installations and release management.

Maintain IT infrastructure procedures knowledge base articles and process documentation.

Coordinate with 3rd-party service providers and vendors on operational support items.

Conduct regular onsite visits for support maintenance and infrastructure checks.

Contribute to the technology roadmap ensuring scalability and alignment with business needs.

Execute project-related deliverables as assigned by the Manager ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and timelines.

Lead and coordinate the end-to-end project management of IT initiatives including planning execution monitoring and reporting.

Delegate tasks to Tier 1 Technicians in accordance with project requirements ensuring clarity of expectations and timely completion of deliverables.



Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • IT degree or diploma
  • AN MSCA/365 or similar technical certifications advantageous (not compulsory)
  • Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure tools and services including: Networks Servers Printing Security Cloud and End-user Computing
  • Minimum 5 years relevant IT support experience
  • Experience in:
  • Network administration
  • Network monitoring tools (performance tuning troubleshooting capacity planning)
  • Public cloud platforms (Microsoft 365 and Huawei Cloud preferred)
  • Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport (site support required)
