As a Systems Engineer II at the Medtronic Energy and Component Center (MECC) youll play a key role in advancing the technologies that power Medtronics lifesaving devices. At MECC youll collaborate across engineering manufacturing and quality teams to translate complex requirements into practical reliable system solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work throughout the full product lifecycle supporting concept development system design integration testing and optimization.

Youll help ensure components and systems meet performance safety and reliability expectations while balancing technical schedule and cost considerations. Your work will directly contribute to delivering highquality components that support multiple Medtronic operating units and ultimately improve patient outcomes around the world.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Reports to the Advanced Software Engineering Manager at Medtronic Engineering and Components Center.
• Translate user needs and business inputs to customer and stakeholder requirements.
• Analyze use cases document product lifecycle and define use conditions.
• Perform functional analysis and functional allocation; develop and manage product requirements; document system and subsystem architecture.
• Employ Model Based Systems Engineering to document and communicate system design.
• Oversee and be deeply acquainted with regulated development processes and standards for risk management usability and safety to ensure systems design and documentation meet relevant safety and regulatory standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degreewith a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• OR a Masters degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with LabVIEW MAP Agile MES TestVault.
• Background in electronics componentlevel design or manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of risk management verification/validation processes or reliability engineering
• Familiarity with Medtronic products regulated industries or FDA/ISO standards
• Experience working across the full product lifecycle (concept design test release)
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Ability to lead crossfunctional efforts or support complex system integration
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Exposure to statistical analysis or modeling tools
• Experience collaborating with suppliers or external partners
• Advanced degree in engineering or related field
• Knowledge of rootcause analysis tools (FMEA 5 Whys etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment
