At Unitrans the key purpose of the role will be to assist with consolidation of local as well as foreign entities and overseeing Head Office financial reporting.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesFinancial Control & Compliance
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and procedures
- Maintain compliance with legal regulatory and IFRS requirements
Reconciliations & Bookkeeping
- Perform monthly balance sheet and IFRS 16 reconciliations
- Process journal entries allocations and recharges for central costs
- Oversee purchase order processes expense authorisation and payment cycles
- Manage billing processes and allocation of maintenance contracts
- Ensure accurate processing of IFRS 16 transactions in relevant systems
- Perform monthly rollovers of general and sub-ledgers
Reporting & Analysis
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and forecasts
- Support annual budgeting and year-end processes
- Contribute to the preparation and review of annual financial statements
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting on Head Office contracts
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
Operational Support & Administration
- Verify and release payments via online banking platforms
- Perform daily finance operations and reconciliations
- Conduct asset verification and sundry ECL calculations
- Support internal and external audit processes
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams suppliers and customers
- Deliver consistent high-quality financial support and service
Minimum Requirements- Qualification: Accounting Degree Articles completed
- Experience in a similar role: 5 years plus 3 5 years in mid-senior supervisory position consolidation experience of foreign entities preferred.
