Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our farm in Lagos Nigeria. The role is initially remote with the expectation of relocation to the farm location in Lagos. The ideal candidate will have a background in farm management with a focus on innovative and sustainable practices.
Tasks
- Manage daily farm operations including crop planning planting harvesting and maintenance
- Develop and implement farm plans budgets and strategies
- Monitor and control farm expenses ensuring efficient use of resources
- Oversee farm staff providing guidance and training as needed
- Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and best practices
- Monitor weather conditions soil health and crop health
- Develop and implement pest and disease management strategies
- Collaborate with suppliers buyers and other stakeholders
Requirements
OND in Farm Management or related field (Agriculture Horticulture Animal Science etc.)
- 2 years of experience in farm management or related role
- Strong knowledge of agricultural practices including crop rotation soil conservation and pest management
- Experience with farm budgeting planning and management
