DescriptionLead instructors play an integral leadership role at 100 Elk modeling tone and culture for staff and participants and setting the tone for living by the Christian Science principles of integrity compassion and respect. Lead instructors help with staff training and oversight safe program execution coordination of logistics and tone-setting. They provide feedback and coaching support to instructors in conjunction with the program director and program manager. Lead instructors support summer programs as needed and may fill a role on the summer staff team.

Qualifications- Live and demonstrate a commitment to the Christian Science principles of integrity compassion and respect; be loving in actions towards others
- At least 20 years old; high school graduate or equivalent at time of employment
- Willingness to uphold high moral and ethical standards
- Enthusiasm for working with young people with love patience and consistency
- College degree in education field preferred
- Ability to flexibly support in a variety of areas as needs arise
- Ability to participate in outdoor adventure and recreational activities
- Youth program leadership experience preferred
- Camp or outdoor education experience preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- First Aid/CPR certification is required (100 Elk can provide training/certification)
- Have or be working towards a Level II ropes course certification (100 Elk can provide training/certification)
- Have or be working towards a current lifeguard certification (100 Elk can support individuals with obtaining this certification)
