What awaits you/ Job Profile

As the Team Lead for the Logistics Platform Integration team based in BMW Hub India you will play a pivotal role in building and leading a high-performance team responsible for managing the technical backbone of BMW Groups global parts logistics SAP platform. You will coordinate the transformation and consolidation of operations from existing providers and hubs to the Hub India ensuring a seamless transition while managing cultural differences and fostering a collaborative team environment. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining the availability performance and reliability of this highly critical IT environment as part of BMWs global SAP transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Build develop and lead a high-performing motivated team in BMW Hub India focused on SAP technical platform management for parts logistics.
• Coordinate and drive the transformation and migration of responsibilities from existing providers and hubs to the Hub India ensuring minimal disruption and knowledge transfer.
• Manage and bridge cultural differences within a global and diverse team to foster collaboration trust and high engagement.
• Oversee the operation of a mission-critical SAP platform ensuring high availability optimal performance and rapid issue resolution.
• Collaborate closely with global stakeholders and teams involved in BMWs SAP transformation program to align objectives processes and standards.
• Provide expertise and guidance on SAP technical issues related to platform stability performance and integration.
• Implement best practices automation and AI-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency and platform reliability.
• Ensure compliance with BMWs IT governance security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor team performance provide coaching and development opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge in Agile Ceremonies.

What should you bring along

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.

• Proven experience (typically 08 to 12 years) in SAP technical platform management or related IT operations within critical IT environments.
• Strong leadership experience ideally in building and managing high-performance teams in offshore delivery centers.
• Demonstrated experience in managing IT transformation projects including migration and consolidation of services.
• Solid understanding of SAP technical issues platform lifecycle management performance tuning and monitoring.

Must have technical skill

• In-depth Knowledge of SAP Technical Platform Management: Strong expertise in SAP system lifecycle management performance tuning monitoring and troubleshooting within critical IT environments.
• Experience with IT Transformation and Migration Projects: Proven ability to manage and coordinate large-scale IT transformations including service migration and consolidation activities.
• Familiarity with Automation and AI in IT Operations: Understanding of how to leverage automation tools and AI technologies to improve system reliability performance and operational efficiency.

Good to have technical skills

1. Experience with SAP Solution Manager and Focused Run: Hands-on knowledge of SAP monitoring and system management tools to ensure platform health and performance.

1. Understanding of Cloud and Hybrid SAP Landscapes: Familiarity with managing SAP environments deployed on cloud platforms (e.g. SAP Cloud Platform AWS Azure).
2. Scripting and Automation Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Bash Python) to support automation of routine tasks and processes.
3. Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) Tools: Experience with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow for incident problem and change management.
4. Strong Security and Compliance Awareness: Understanding of SAP security implications IT governance and regulatory compliance relevant to SAP platform operations.
