Team Leader

Actuarial Services team in AXA Global Business Services (AXA GBS) was established in 2005 to provide value added actuarial support to different AXA entities globally. This team is a part of CFS at AXA GBS. Over the years-the team has evolved into firmly establishing itself as an integral part of different AXA group entities. The team today is involved in serving the AXA operating companies across both Life insurance and Property & Casualty insurance

The team has now embarked on the next growth phase entailing new opportunities identification and converting proof of concepts into new engagement support services for AXA BS

Key Accountabilities

Incubating and growing Non-Life Actuarial area

Identifying services that can be performed from ABS create capability documents plan and execute POCs identify potential user of the services and create visibility around the same

Help Actuarial team at ABS to establish Thought Leadership in the Non-Life Actuarial area through thought papers development of tools and platforms and other data solutions

Interacting with On-shore Partners on regular basis understanding their requirements and transforming them into a solution framework.

Work on different Non-Life insurance engagements as per different AXA Entitys requirements

Independently analyze project requirements to own and deliver pilot projects / initiatives with very high quality to establish support credibility with AXA Group entities

Become a trusted partner for AXA Group entities - engage for capability showcase including visiting entities for opportunity assessment discussions and piloting solutions

Resolving client queries effectively and troubleshoot data issues immediately

Understanding business problems and translate the business information into dynamic and effective reports or dashboards to generate meaningful business insights

Coordinate with multiple support partners like IT TA Audit Risk L&D for smooth and compliant function while catering to teams growth Knowledge/Competency building

Position Summary

The resource would be a key member of the Actuarial Services team and would work in close collaboration with teams in AXA entities

Play a critical role in setting up Non-Life Actuarial support (Data Management and Pricing in particular) for various AXA Group entities

Support the delivery of pricing and portfolio management solutions across multiple portfolios through data analysis and modeling

Demonstrate increasing knowledge of relevant actuarial disciplines and procedures to be able to provide first class service and insight to external and internal stakeholders

Building and maintaining robust pricing models and implementing pricing strategies that increase value to our partners by optimizing business performance in line with business objective.

Seeking and identifying opportunities to improve model performance through new data items or analytical techniques.

Developing robust data sets to ensure data adequacy and accuracy

Fortify existing AXA BS Actuarial practice supporting globally where AXA has a presence across Non-Life domains

Capability and Knowledge

Proven experience and deep technical understanding of insurance pricing modeling techniques (GLMs or machine learning techniques)

Excellent understanding of Actuarial & Statistical techniques

Proven skills in following software packages

o Emblem Radar or similar

o Coding language (R Python SAS SQL VBA)

o Advanced Excel

Knowledge of Non-life insurance products and awareness of recent industry developments in Non-Life Actuarial domain

Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders

Ability to work under pressure and use judgment to provide appropriate answers within required timescales

Strong problem solving skills including evidence of using appropriate analytical techniques and draw conclusions from these to solve a range of business problem and to be able to organize filter and augment data appropriately.

Experience mentoring and acting as role model for junior team member

Proven track record of communicating complex issues to business management

Ability to work on multiple projects at a time is required

Ability to work on an international environment is required

Specific position related experience

Member of Actuarial Society (India/UK/SOA) with at least 4 exam pass

3 years of work experience in Non-Life Insurance in Actuarial domain

Should be in a position to provide technical guidance to the Non-Life insurance team and be able to resolve any issues that arise so that deliverables are met

Shift Timing 10:30 AM to 18:30 PM
