Why Your Role Matters:
The Senior Health & Safety Advisor Contractors provides strategic leadership and expert guidance in contractor management enabling end-to-end Health & Safety support for contractor management across UNSW. The role ensures that the requirements in the contractor management framework (CMF) are expanded to cover all contracting works or services undertaken at UNSW.
The role will support our contracting partners to understand and adhere to the requirements and expectations outlined in the CMF. As the principal technical expert and escalation point for health & safety aspects of contractor management this role shapes frameworks and systems that impact the entire university and provides authoritative advice to senior leaders. Working closely with the Head of Health & Safety Estates & Contractors and other H&S roles within the broader team the role ensures contractors are managing H&S risks to a high standard by supporting leaders across the business with visibility and oversight of contractor health and safety management.
The role contributes significantly to the continuous improvement of contractor management health and safety processes systems and frameworks by collaborating with the Health & Safety Performance and Improvement team participates in transformational projects and supports increased risk visibility through analytics and reporting.
