Vast is seeking an Operations Intern to support the Operations team in streamlining day-to-day activities and improving efficiency in a fast-growing organization. Reporting to the Director Operations this role offers hands-on exposure to how daily operations function across a large and growing company.
This internship is well-suited for someone with a hands-on collaborative attitude who enjoys problem-solving and contributing to continuous improvement.
This is a 12-week Summer internship at our headquarters in Long Beach CA.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with monitoring daily operations and help gather data or observations on utilization of various programs with a goal of making them more efficient
- Support inventory management by helping order supplies and tracking usage under the guidance of the Operations team
- Help create update and maintain procedures checklists and other operational documentation
- Communicate and coordinate with employees and vendors via email messaging platforms or in-person as needed
- Perform general administrative tasks to support effective company operations including assisting with special projects focused on improving procedures policies and processes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program from an accredited college or university in business operations engineering or a related field
- Basic proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs Sheets Calendar etc.)
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Long Beach CA
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Strong organizational time-management and prioritization skills
- Analytical and detail oriented with a willingness to learn and problem solve
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive professional and effective in fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated integrity and ability to handle sensitive or proprietary information
- Interest in operations or aerospace hardware companies
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel between company locations on occasion
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
Pay Range:
- Undergraduate Intern: $35/hr
- Graduate Intern: $40/hr
