Job Summary
The Resort at Longboat Key Club is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable professional to join our finance team in Longboat Key FL. This role is responsible for managing the companys outgoing payments and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills proficiency with accounting software and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices expense reports and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and execute payments via check electronic transfer or other methods.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and reconcile discrepancies.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting as needed.
- Support audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Continuously look for ways to improve accounts payable processes and efficiencies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and team members.
- High level of integrity and reliability handling confidential information.
- Associates degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred.
