Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle processes ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
- Negotiate and administer contracts focusing on cost-effectiveness stakeholder satisfaction and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance supply chain content and improve contract management processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards providing guidance and support to business partners.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet Social and Labour Plans Mining Charter and BBBEE objectives.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain ongoing relationships to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
- Prepare tender documentation engage in the adjudication process and manage contract modifications and close-outs.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of contractual agreements and report on compliance and governance issues.
- Support financial management by adhering to budget requirements and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement database integrity and the development of Service Level Agreements with suppliers.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate in First Line Management (Essential/Minimum)
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management including procurement of various transport modes clearing and forwarding and contract management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with contract management systems
- Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning and/or Cloud-based procurement solutions (e.g. SAP MM Coupa)
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
- Strong negotiation and contract administration skills
- Experience in managing contracts with an emphasis on compliance risk mitigation and stakeholder relationship management
- Ability to analyze contract terms and provide recommendations for improvement and cost-effectiveness
