The employer liaison is a relationship builder and an expert in local employer/employment needs. You work closely with employers and community partners to develop a deep understanding of the local labour market employer pain points and barriers for job collaborate regularly with your colleagues to help match our skilled job seekers to employment short you foster connection and offer solutions for problems for our clients and partners.
Details:
Full time (35 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday Tuesday Wednesday & Friday 9:30-5: evening and weekend events may be scheduled exceptionally.
Location: Cranbrook BC Baker Street.
Working style: in office & in community
Pay: 29.50/hour

A typical day at work:
- Conduct daily targeted contacts to employers and community partners to understand the labour market and community needs; identify how our services can address or enhance their needs; seek creative mutually beneficial solutions
- Participate and become positively known within the community by attending events networking joining committees attending trade shows and job fairs and connecting with the Chamber of Commerce; identify employment opportunities and ensure smooth communication between WorkBC and employers
- Deliver educational materials presentations and coaching to employers including content on inclusive and equitable hiring practices
- Collaborate with all program staff to ensure seamless delivery of quality services
