Job Summary

My client is seeking a dynamic and talented Supply Chain Graduate to join their team in the Supply Chain industry specialising in the transportation of bulk commodities from mines to end users around the world. The ideal candidate will have a BCom Honours degree in supply chain management or Administration and a passion for the industry. This is a very hands on role which requires working closely with various teams across the supply chain to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of products from suppliers to customers.

Responsibilities inter Alia:

Transport Documentation
Freight Forwarding
Shipping
Monitor and track inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess inventory
Assist in the development of supply chain strategies and initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Collaborate with teams to coordinate all aspects of the supply chain including production procurement logistics and distribution
Analyse supply chain data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for optimization
Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to provide updates on the status of supply chain operations
Assist in the resolution of supply chain issues and conflicts as they arise

Requirements

Honours degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Honours in Business Administration
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to rotate across the business departments and be away from the appointed place of work and work at the mines
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Attention to Detail
Knowledge of industry practices and trends is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Willing to relocate to Johannesburg/Burgersfort
