We are seeking an experienced SAP US Payroll Functional Consultant for a hands-on implementation role. The consultant will work on end-to-end SAP Payroll implementations across ECC and S/4HANA environments including ECC to S/4 migrations. The role involves requirement gathering solution design configuration testing and go-live support for US Payroll.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Implementation & Configuration
- Lead and support end-to-end SAP US Payroll implementations (minimum 2 full lifecycle projects)
- Configure and customize:
- Payroll Schemas PCRs Wage Types
- Payroll rules calculations and retro processing
- Perform unit testing integration testing UAT cutover go-live and hypercare support
- Troubleshoot payroll issues and fix schema/PCR errors
- Work on SAP ECC and S/4HANA Payroll including migration projects
Business Process & Solution Design
- Analyze and understand US Payroll and HR business processes
- Identify document As-Is and design To-Be processes
- Map business processes to SAP HCM / SuccessFactors
- Identify system gaps limitations and improvement opportunities
- Act as a Payroll SME providing best-practice guidance
Documentation & Testing
- Prepare and review:
- Functional Specification Documents
- Configuration Workbooks
- Test scenarios test cases scripts and test data
- Ensure high-quality delivery through strong validation and defect management
Integrations & Compliance
- Support and test interfaces and integrations (including Finance and third-party systems like ADP good to have)
- Good knowledge of:
- US country-specific tax forms
- Year-end payroll activities
- Support Employee Central data extraction and payroll integrations
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Work in large global multi-vendor teams
- Manage:
- Scope timelines deliverables risks and issues
- Change control and escalations
- Work closely with:
- Clients
- Technical teams
- Functional teams
- Third-party vendors
- Contribute to:
- Effort estimation
- Project planning
- Timelines and delivery governance
- Ensure on-time high-quality delivery and client satisfaction
Required Experience & Qualifications
Must Have
- 6 years total experience with 4 years in SAP US Payroll
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- SAP US Payroll
- Payroll Configuration
- Schemas PCRs Wage Types
- Experience in:
- PA / OM
- Payroll and Time integration
- Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP Payroll implementations
- Strong understanding of:
