Hours: Hours will vary depending on Squadron activities and will include some evenings and weekends. Typically 32 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours during peak squadron activities.

The B29/B24 Squadron is a part of the Commemorative Air Force. The CAF was founded to acquire restore and preserve in flying condition a complete collection of combat aircraft which were flown by all military services of the United States and selected aircraft of other nations for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations of Americans. The Squadron tours North America providing living history flight experiences for the public.
Job Description:
This role is a vital part of Squadron Operations. The Office Manager coordinates almost all Squadron activities from meetings to Touring to training courses.
This is a civilian position and does not require military service (including commissions and enlistment).
Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Oversee daily office operations including scheduling supply management and vendor relations.
- Provide administrative assistance to leadership and staff ensuring everyone has what they need to excel.
- Plan and coordinate squadron activities and events.
- Act as a central point for external communications
- Manage invoices and revenue and prepare expense reports and budgets.
- Act as resource for Tour Leaders and ride desk personnel
- Coordinate Tour Stop record keeping and reporting
- Clean/restock office and common use areas
- Complete activity reports as needed/required
Requirements
Required
- Experience as an office manager or in a comparable administrative leadership role with a track record of success in maintaining efficient operations.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge Microsoft Office Suite and OneDrive. Use of Quick Books familiarity with scheduling tools and project management platforms.
- Experience managing office budgets overseeing expense reporting and negotiating vendor contracts to ensure cost-effective operations.
Nice-to-have:
- Background in planning and executing office events team-building activities or community outreach programs.
- Bachelors degree in business administration management or related field.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards legal requirements and industry best practices for maintaining a secure and compliant office environment.
