A global law firm with a strong and growing IP practice is seeking a Patent Agent with 2 years of patent prosecution experience to support sophisticated technology clients. This role offers hands-on responsibility direct client interaction and long-term growth within a collaborative IP team. This position is in Washington D.C. but other locations throughout the U.S. are options.
Role & Responsibilities
Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications
Evaluate invention disclosures and assess patentability
Draft claims and respond to USPTO Office Actions
Conduct Examiner interviews
Work directly with inventors and attorneys
Assist with patent portfolio strategy and management
Technical Focus
Experience in one or more of the following:
5G Wi-Fi and wireless communications
Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning
Processor and memory systems
Image processing and computer vision
RF front-end technologies
Preferred (not required): autonomous vehicles robotics natural language processing advanced wireless systems.

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
2 years of patent prosecution experience
