Job Summary

Aurora Geosciences Ltd (Aurora) is currently seeking to hire a General Kitchen Assistant for upcoming exploration programs starting in February 2026.

Reporting to the onsite Head Cook the General Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for the following:

Assisting kitchen staff in their daily meal preparations
Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing service utensils dishes and other kitchen cookware
Ensuring the general maintenance and cleanliness of the food service area

The successful candidate will have the following capabilities:

Minimum 1 year related experience
Current WHMIS and Level 1 Food Safe Certificates
Knowledge of the safe and efficient operation of equipment within the food service area
Understanding the proper use of all cleaning chemicals in the food service area
Time management skills
Exceptional customer service skills and enjoys working with the public
Proven ability in working as a team player and the ability to work on their own
Proven punctuality and the ability to work 12 hour shifts

Preferences will be given to those residing in the Northwest Territories. Ideally candidates will have previous exploration field experience and past experience however training will be provided. The successful candidate(s) will be compensated with an industry competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
