POSITION SUMMARY

The Bellman is responsible in acknowledging welcomes and departs all guests/visitors arriving to/from the hotel providing assistance with guests luggage. Ensuring all guest luggage is delivered to room / brought down from room and not left unattended. Thorough knowledge of all hotel services and amenities. Performs daily responsibilities to the hotels standard. Performs the daily responsibilities of these positions and assists where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests/visitors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Secondary school or equivalent

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Adhere to all standards in accordance to the Brand Standards pertaining to welcoming and departing guests baggage handling delivery of items and newspapers etc
  • Provide information pertaining to all hotel services local places of interests restaurants doctors sightseeing tours and any other information likely to be of the interest to guests
  • Ensure a welcoming sense of arrival and demonstrate a sincere farewell while also ensuring the lobby driveway and Concierge areas appearance reflect highly on the hotel and Company
  • Trained on systems security and service and quality standards in accordance with the Brand Standards
  • Maintains a willingness to please attitude and give undivided attention to any approaching guests
  • Monitor and direct traffic activity of taxis hotel limousines guest vehicles etc to ensure smooth and efficient flow of traffic at the hotel driveway
