Livestock Transportation Facility Manager. GJW LLC. Ainsworth NE. Responsible foroverseeing all aspects of the Livestock Transportation Facility including training developingand coaching employees to ensure implementation of best practices to drive productivityoptimize efficiency promote teamwork and safeguard biosecurity standards. Lead a team oflivestock drivers and livestock trailer washers including scheduling work shifts dispatchinginternal transfer drivers and resolving after-hours operational issues. Implement and enforce biosecurity standards and adherence to requirements as established by PIC (Pig Improvement Company). Ensure the decontamination of livestock trailers including gates ramps ceilings and floors meets company and industry standards. Serve as the main point of contact for drivers toensure customer loads are safely and timely delivered according to biosecurity standards. Determine the appropriate chemical composition used for power wash procedures to disinfect livestock trailers. Monitor the drying bay to ensure temperature and duration of drying process is appropriate to reduce or eliminate risks. Identify opportunities to improve processes andcollaborate with team members to implement quality control standards. Inspect and maintainrecords for livestock facility including collection of environmental samples for testing ofbiosecurity risks that could cause adverse impact to animals. Maintain inventory and ordering ofparts equipment and supplies. Maintain relationships with suppliers and internal customers toensure facility is properly stocked and prepared to meet business needs. Receive after hour callsand develops strategy to cover after-hours emergency service. Train and audit employeeperformances on power washing techniques on the entire livestock trailer including gates rampsceilings and floors following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Promote safe work habitsand working environment by ensuring all work-related injuries are properly reporteddocumented and reduced through proper training and safety procedure enforcement. Implementperformance management practices to drive performance reinforce positive behaviors andenhance team production. Host regular monthly safety trainings team meetings and support anenvironment that fosters implementation of innovative ideas. Position will oversee 4-6 directreports with Livestock Trailor Washer (Biosecurity Specialist) and Livestock Transport based in Ainsworth NE. Person in this position may be assigned to worksite locationsin Columbus NE and Crookston NE as needed. Requires: High School diploma or GED. 12months of experience in any position working in livestock production operations. 6 months ofexperience in any livestock transportation position. Demonstrated knowledge of biosecuritystandards for livestock trucks and trailers.
