Student Life and Leadership Development Graduate Assistant Position Overview: The Center for Student Engagement is a department within student life that connects students faculty and the community in their common interests of learning and serving through three primary programs: service-learning study abroad and leadership programming. We provide students with gateway experiences to foster a lifelong commitment to service and global engagement and to help students discern their lifes vocation through a variety of powerful experiential learning experiences. - Facilitate monthly leadership program workshops
- Serve as a resource and mentor for students interested in joining the Ignite Leadership Certificate Program
- Organize marketing and outreach for the Ignite Leadership Certificate Program and other Student Life
- programs
- Help coordinate and attend the fall leadership retreat (October)
- Track leadership program data in student engagement software and advise students who are close to
- graduation
- Assist in the assessment of the Ignite Leadership Program
- Collaborate with the Student Life team on Student Life Educational Weeks and other campus events
- Assist with training planning and goal setting with club leaders
- Meet with club leaders once a semester to ensure clubs are meeting requirements to receive funding
- Other duties as assigned
Depending on qualification need and availability this position may be eligible for housing on campus if able to serve on the on-call crisis rotation (Valued at $3375 a semester and $2250 for summer or $9000 a year) - You will be given a 1 bedroom fully furnished apartment for 12 months in Holst Hall depending on your placement. Education & Experience: - Eligible candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program at Concordia University St Paul
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and also within a team
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple projects and responsibilities
