Job Description:

Sherpa 6 is seeking a Lead Systems Integrator to support U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF) G6 in Wiesbaden Germany. This role serves as a technical lead and trusted advisor helping the Army integrate sustain and modernize cloud network and tactical systems across this position you will support operational readiness by integrating fielded systems and emerging technologies across cloud on-prem and tactical edge environments. You will work hands-on with Army stakeholders to improve network architectures expand mobile device management capabilities and integrate sensors wearable technologies small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) and tactical applications into operational environments. The Lead Systems Integrator plays a key role in ensuring Army systems remain secure resilient and effective in Denied Degraded Intermittent and Limited (DDIL) environments. This includes extending IL2 IL4 IL5 IL6 and commercial cloud capabilities supporting coalition and partner force integration and helping transition prototype technologies into Programs of Record (PoR). This is a highly visible role for candidates who enjoy solving complex problems working directly with end users and shaping how next-generation technologies are delivered to the Warfighter without adding unnecessary complexity to their mission.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Lead Systems Integrator and Technology Advisor supporting USAREUR-AF G6 providing hands-on technical leadership across cloud network and tactical systems.
  • Integrate and sustain fielded Army capabilities and emerging technologies within Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) and Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) architectures.
  • Support the integration of sensors wearable technologies and small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) into the TAK ecosystem to improve situational awareness and sensor-to-shooter workflows.
  • Assess integrate and validate tactical applications to ensure they are operationally effective secure and scalable across cloud on-prem and tactical edge environments.
  • Extend and optimize Army Cloud on-prem and edge capabilities (IL2 IL4 IL5 IL6 and commercial cloud) to support coalition operations and partner force integration.
  • Provide sustainment and expansion support for Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions including Watchtower enabling management of Android iOS and Windows-based tactical devices.
  • Enable the transition of prototype technologies into Programs of Record (PoR) by evaluating operational impact sustainment requirements and integration risks.
  • Identify assess and integrate leading-edge commercial and government technologies with potential battlefield applications including robotics high-bandwidth tactical networking and private/commercial cellular solutions.
  • Advise on AI integration and tactical device orchestration including cloud-based and edge-deployed AI solutions to enhance decision-making and system automation.
  • Design and integrate information portrayal solutions that allow leaders to visualize system performance cybersecurity posture and sensor data at the tactical edge.
  • Ensure solutions minimize cognitive burden on the Warfighter while maximizing operational effectiveness.
  • Support sensor pilot programs and modernization efforts in Eastern Europe as part of broader Army and DoD integration initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Army stakeholders to identify mission-critical applications address infrastructure gaps and deliver resilient solutions in Denied Degraded Intermittent and Limited (DDIL) environments.
  • Provide on-site technical leadership in Wiesbaden Germany with reach-back support from CONUS-based engineering teams as needed.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering Information Technology Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in systems integration network engineering or cloud architecture
  • Experience supporting DoD or Army operational environments
  • Strong background in tactical networks cloud architectures and edge computing
  • Familiarity with TAK ecosystem (ATAK WinTAK TAK Server)
  • Experience with Linux Windows Android and iOS systems
  • Knowledge of PKI identity management certificates and secure communications
  • Experience operating in DDIL environments
  • DOD 8570 certs
  • Strong communication leadership and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening


Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience supporting USAREUR-AF Army G6 or C5ISR organizations
  • Experience with ITN NGC2 Nett Warrior or similar PoR
  • Tactical radios cellular and private LTE/5G networks
  • AI/ML integration in cloud and edge environments
  • Coalition and partner force network integration
  • Program management or technical lead experience
  • Experience operating in Europe or OCONUS environments
  • Successful completion of a background screening/check/investigation may be required as a condition of hire.
