Position Criteria:
- Licensed Industrial Technology and/or Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Educator preferred
- Demonstrate aptitude for performing tasks listed
- Must exhibit ethical practices and be a role model to students.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Performance Criteria:
- Has an understanding of the teaching-learning process and the necessity of working with the students.
- Knowledgeable about SkillsUSA goals purposes structure bylaws educational initiatives etc.
- Provide leadership development experiences for all members of the chapter.
- Assist students in developing a meaningful Program of Work and Calendar of Events.
- Complete membership requirements per state and national guidelines such as ensuring student enrollment and membership fee payments.
- Oversee all functions of the local chapter such as chapter meetings maintain records and financials election of officers fundraising activities etc.
- Keep school board and administration local businesses community parents teachers school staff and local media informed of chapter activities.
- Establish a link between the local chapter and business community.
- Keep chapter members informed of SkillsUSA activities at the regional state and national levels and encourage them to participate in all levels of SkillsUSA.
- Be committed to each student welcome the diversity and be a positive role model in actions and deeds.
- Organize District/Regional State and National leadership trips which will include arranging for travel supervision of students timely submission of all requests for prior approval submission of conference requests in a timely fashion collection and security of funding.
- Travel with students to leadership conferences and activities.
