Job Summary
Introduction
MarylandPublic Television commonly known as MPT is a regional PBS affiliate thatbroadcasts throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia and into parts ofDelaware Pennsylvania Virginia and West Virginia. Headquartered in OwingsMills MPT operates a full-service advertising agency called the MarylandState Ad Agency (MSAA) which serves the needs of the Maryland State agenciesseeking to communicate important messages through public serviceannouncements and advertising. Campaigns include messaging about substancedisorders (such as opioids) problem gambling Covid-19 state trooperrecruitments and the states 988 suicide and crisis lifeline.

Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Set goals strategies andtactics to support MSAA goals.
Plan and execute presentationsfor other state agencies.
Develop interagency agreements.
Maintain accurate clientrecords and service logs
Act as primary point ofcontact building and maintaining relationships with other state agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:Bachelors Degree in marketing communicationsbusiness administration or a related field
Experience:Five (5) of experience in businessdevelopment or a related field

LICENSES REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may beassigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employeesassigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operatorslicense valid in the State of Maryland.

EXAMINATION PROCESS
Theexamination will consist of a rating of your education training andexperience as presented on your application and as they relate to therequirements of the position. Therefore it is important that you providecomplete and accurate information on your application.
BENEFITS
Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage accidental death and dismemberment insurance and life insurance but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.
Leave may be granted to a contractual employee at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.
